Mark 1:14-15
Hear what Jesus actually proclaimed: the Gospel of the Kingdom of God, and how His death, burial, and resurrection fulfilled God's Spring Feasts to the exact day.
The Messiah Has Come: Preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom
"Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel." — Mark 1:14-15
"And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness." — Matthew 4:23
"Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us." — 1 Corinthians 5:7
What Was the Gospel Jesus Actually Preached?
Ask the average Christian today, "What is the Gospel?" and they will say: "Believe in Jesus so your soul goes to heaven when you die."
Yet when you open Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, Jesus never once preached that message. Over and over again, the scriptures record:
- "I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore am I sent." (Luke 4:43)
- "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come." (Matthew 24:14)
The Gospel is the royal proclamation that the rightful King of the Earth has arrived, breaking the power of sin, Satan, and death, and establishing His reign!
Messiah Fulfilled the Spring Feasts of Yahweh
In Leviticus 23, God gave Israel 7 Appointed Times (Moedim / Feasts). They were not "Jewish holidays"—God calls them "The Feasts of Yahweh." They are prophetic dress rehearsals for the redemptive work of Messiah!
In His First Coming, Yeshua fulfilled the 4 Spring Feasts to the exact day and hour:
- Passover (Pesach): Yeshua was slain as the Lamb of God on the 14th of Nisan, shedding His blood to deliver us from death (1 Cor 5:7).
- Unleavened Bread (Chag HaMatzot): His sinless body was placed in the tomb without decay on the 15th of Nisan, removing the leaven of sin.
- Firstfruits (Reshit Katzir): He rose from the dead on the morrow after the Sabbath, becoming the firstfruits of them that slept (1 Cor 15:20).
- Pentecost / Feast of Weeks (Shavuot): Exactly 50 days later, the Holy Spirit was poured out in Jerusalem (Acts 2), writing God's Torah upon human hearts just as the Law was given at Sinai!
Key Revelations in Foundation 7:
- The biblical definition of repentance (Teshuvah): turning back to God's covenant ways.
- How Jesus walked as the living Torah in complete obedience to the Father.
- How the Spring Feasts prove that the Fall Feasts will be fulfilled at His Second Coming with the same literal precision.
